Information about Santorini

The island of Santorini belongs to the Cyclades cluster and is one of the most popular vacation spots in the world, hosting thousands of visitors every year.

It is the southern most island of the Cycladic group in the Aegean Sea, and is located 63 nautical miles north of Crete. Its surface area is 73 sq. km. and its population, distributed among thirteen villages, just exceeds thirteen thousand six hundred souls.

The island is celebrated for its mysterious Caldera, colored sandy beaches, excellent Minoan and ancient sites, nighttime entertainment and one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the world.

Located in the mid point of the western side of Santorini Island is its capital town Fira. With its spectacular architecture, stunning views and its impressive cliffs, Fira is considered a unique area.
