If you wish to escape for a weekend or more from the noise of the city and the stress then visit Kalonichtis (10km from Rethymnon) with your friends and family.

Kalonichtis was the village of Nikiforos Fokas only ten minutes away from Rethymnon, or seventy minutes away from Heraklion. The village is named after the good nights sleep Nikiforos Fokas and his warriors had. It is said that they slept undisturbed that night. Access to Kalonichtis is from Atsipopoulo junction (on Rethymnon highway).

The resort is open all year round ready to welcome you and your family or friends.

ACCOMMODATION

The hotel is found in 1.500sq.m land and consists of five luxurious apartments fully furnished and decorated. The equipment consists among others of electric kitchen rings, electric oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, large storage cupboards and all the necessities for cooking. In the bathroom you will find the hydro massage or shower along with the washing machine. The kitchen is integrated with the living room supplementary to the cozy fireplace, comfortable sofas, dining room, plasma TV together with DVD player and nice view of the garden and swimming pool. In each bedroom there is a large wardrobe and plasma TV additionally to the basic furniture. Heating is provided from the fireplace in conjunction with oil heating and air conditioners.  Hot water is available 24 hours in both kitchen and bathroom.

Each apartment is equipped with an alarm system; guests choose the password which is valid throughout their stay. All apartments have an active internet connection. Parking is provided both inside and outside the complex free of charge.

There are five apartments in the complex. On the ground floor we find the suite (70m2) consisting of one bedroom, kitchen integrated with the living room, a large bathroom with hydro massage and a smaller wc. The suite overlooks the garden and the swimming pool. On the first floor we find two apartments (each 75m2) consisting of one bedroom, kitchen integrated with the living room, bathroom (with shower) and large storeroom. The apartments look over the garden, the swimming pool and the barbeque. The second floor constitutes of two maisonettes (95m2), on each maisonette’s ground floor we find a kitchen integrated with the living room, wc, and a bedroom. The maisonette’s second floor is accessed via an internal staircase consisting of two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The maisonettes look down the garden, the swimming pool, the barbeque and the village of Kalonichtis all the way to the sea.

To relax even more you can swim in the pool, walk in the garden or have a barbeque.

Nature lovers should visit the castle of Nikiforos Fokas, it’s a route through older times and experiences ideal for hikers or mountain climbers. Walking by the river and the platanus trees is a unique experience. Hikers can visit the nearby villages (Ano Malaki, Kato Malaki, Roustikka, Pano Valsamonero, Saitoures, Gerani, Palelimnos, and Metochia) all which have Venetian architecture. For the daring hikers there is a route from Kalonichtis to Rodakino which lies north of Rethymnon prefecture.

BARS & RESTAURANTS

The barbeque area is covered and has all the necessary equipment needed (traditional tables and chairs, wood oven etc).
Next to the ground floor apartment you will find the wine cellar in which you can enjoy wine in abundant quantity, raki is considered a standard.
There is also the option to hire a cook for the duration of your or a transfer service for your arrival/departure.
Also there are many bars & restaurants close by, to cater for every taste.

* To book 1 night charged with 100%
* In case of cancellations at least 15 days prior to arrival, no fee will be charged.
* For later cancellations, will be charged 40% of the total booking.
* In case of no-show, will be charged the total amount of reservation.
